What you need to know about the new National Insurance scheme
More than $12 billion worth of business products and services are covered under the National Insurance Scheme, including $3 billion in goods and services covered by the Australian Building and Construction Commission (ABCC).
The ABCC covers more than 80 per cent of Australia’s built environment, including roads, roads, bridges, railways, waterways, waterways services, waterways utilities and sewage treatment facilities.
The ABC is not the only organisation to be affected by the new policy.
In October, the Government announced it would stop funding the ABCC and the National Farmers Insurance Scheme.
The scheme will continue to be funded through the Department of Finance.
